So you make the purchase. Only to discover, once lit, it smells like nothing. SERIOUSLY NOTHING!?

The disappointment with it's lack of scent throw was almost life altering!

The cold scent throw of the candle is what convinced you to buy it in the first place, right!? Well the perfect candle has a slow and steady scent throw that can be smelled when burning. 

The fragrance load of your candle is the percentage of fragrance added to the wax. Adding more fragrance, does not necessarily result in a better smelling product. Creating a balance on the correct fragrance load while keeping the cost reasonable is key.

With this in mind here are a few things you can try in order to achieve the best results in your candles burning experience:

If your using our Infused moodPEARLS we always recommend using one full jar per bag of moodWAX for a strong scented candle. The moodPEARLS were designed to scent your candle perfectly with pre-determined ratios. If your looking for a milder scent throw use half the jar of your moodPEARLS.

You can also try burning your candle in a smaller room like the bathroom or office. This will allow you to smell your candle scent throw better as it could be a subtler aroma. Also try leaving the room or house for a period of time as your nose gets used to a scent and stops registering it. You will immediately know if your candles scent is infusing your room with deliciousness!

Another thing you could try is burning your candle for a longer period of time, allowing the melted wax to diffuse the scent more effectively. The recommended time is between 2-4 hours, or until the melted wax reaches the edges of the candle vessel. We do not recommend burning a single candle longer than 4 hours at one given time. You can make multiple moodWAX candles and rotate through them to keep the mood ehancing glow going!
